While in the Master in Learning and Teaching Program at University of Redlands, in the
Foundations of Learning course: MALT 601, Dr. Brian Charest, Assistant Professor
Dr. Charest has tasked each student with creating a portfolio.
Learning2Teach is a podcast portfolio to showcase my learning in 2020 during this course. This podcast is also a way to be able to later reference what stood out to me and what is motivating me to become a teacher and leader in social justice. As a forty year old who was once a single mom, I share personal stories related to the learning content in order to commit it to my memory. I walk through some of the major points that have stood out to me and it will not only serve as a way to recall my memory, but it is a way that I am shaping my own teaching identity. Each podcast is marked with a timestamp of an event or themed song that references a particular issue that is relevant to the episode and the time, as each passing week and month this year has been distinct and yet a blur at the same time.
